Koihonua aims to transform the lives and conditions of Native Hawaiians through reclaiming and restoring land, revitalizing Hawaiian cultural practices, and investing in Hawaii-based movements for social justice. We work to uplift, support and empower Hawaiian community. Koihonua has developed three programs to address gaps in Hawaii community work: Hanakehau Learning Farm, a 5-acre land restoration project and farm. Hui Kalai Kii o Kupaaikee, a traditional Hawaiian wood carving revitalization apprenticeship. Hawaii Unity and Liberation Institute (HULI), our community advocacy, organizing and training arm. We provide community training in organizing, media and action art.
